COTTON

Cotton is an exceptionally durable fabric.

Cotton is easier to wash and care for than many other fabrics. When you wash cotton, the material releases odorous substances more easily than other fabrics.

It sheds any pills in the wash. (Pills are annoying balls of tangled fibres that pop up when a fabric rubs against itself).

Washing detergents suitable for cotton are commonly available.

The quality of a cotton item is measured by thread count. This is the number of threads woven per square inch. Starting at around 60, thread counts can reach figures as high as 800, 900, 1000, 1100 per inch and over.

The types of different Cotton yarns very much differ from each other.

Supima Cotton symbolizes 1% of the world's rare super long-staple cotton, which is a cotton variety standing at the top of the tower.

Ultra-long cotton fibre plant produces smoother and cleaner yarn, which perfectly avoids the short fiber pilling in physical friction. Its strength of resisting stretching, breaking and tearing is 45% stronger than that of ordinary cotton, and it can achieve greater twist in the spinning process. The fabric made is delicate and tough, with incredible elasticity and softness. It becomes softer as time goes by, and at the same time, it keeps the shape of the garment for a long time.

Pima cotton fabric is universal, strong and light, and it is difficult for you to find its flaws. The impeccable "exquisiteness" makes designers freer in the choice of practical needs and the creation and expression of design sense, and can flexibly cooperate with the "season" of design to create high-quality and high-value-added clothing with excellent functions, feel and appearance, fully expressing the meaning of designers' works and meeting the consumer demand with more green environmental protection and fashion awareness.

Pima cotton is most closely comparable to Egyptian cotton in that it shares long-fibered tensile strength and an amazingly soft feel. It is a beautiful fabric and almost feels like silk. It has a beautiful weight so it is fine without being see through.

Cotton Features

Hygroscopicity

Cotton fibre has good hygroscopicity. Under normal circumstances, the fibre can absorb moisture from the surrounding atmosphere, and its moisture content is 8-10%, so it touches human skin and makes people feel soft and not rigid. If the humidity of the cotton cloth increases and the surrounding temperature is higher, all the water contained in the fibre will evaporate and disperse, so that the fabric can maintain a water balance and make people feel comfortable.

Moisturizing

Because cotton fibre is a poor conductor of heat and electricity, the thermal conductivity is extremely low, and because cotton fibre itself has the advantages of porosity and high elasticity, a large amount of air can accumulate between the fibres, and air is a poor conductor of heat and electricity, so pure Cotton fibre textiles have good moisture retention, and people feel warm when wearing pure cotton clothing.

Heat resistance

Pure cotton fabric has good heat resistance. When the temperature is below 110°C, it will only cause the moisture on the fabric to evaporate and will not damage the fibre. Therefore, the pure cotton fabric is not affected at room temperature, wearing, washing, printing and dyeing.

Cotton fabrics have remarkably good washability and wearability.

Alkali resistance

Cotton fibre has a greater resistance to alkali. The cotton fibre will not be damaged in the alkali solution. This performance is conducive to the washing of pollution after consumption, disinfection and removal of impurities, and it can also dye, print and print pure cotton textiles. Various processes are used to produce more new varieties of cotton.

Hygiene

Cotton fibre is a natural fibre, its main component is cellulose, there is a small amount of waxy substances, nitrogenous substances and pectin. The pure cotton fabric has been tested and practiced in many ways, and the fabric has no irritation or negative effect when it comes in contact with the skin. It is beneficial and harmless to the human body when worn for a long time.

The following investigating documentaries about the fashion world and fast fashion production, are concerning the British based customers, who believe that Britain doesn't have these problems, and China is the only country in the world being problematic.

This chapter is our reply to our customers, who always point at China and believe China is their personal problem and they want to avoid it. But, avoiding China, brings you where? in even worse place....called Britain.

Britons, are you aware what really goes on in your own country?
